The Borden Tragedy 2012

October 17, 2012

Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion offers up a truly unique and eerie outing this Fall season.    Philadelphia’s only Victorian House Museum and Garden invite you to take part in live, interactive Victorian Theater as they present their sixth annual murder mystery: The Borden Tragedy.  There will be no sitting back and watching this performance as your help is needed in solving the crime.

On August 4, 1892 Andrew and Abigail Borden were found gruesomely murdered in their home with a hatchet.  The prime suspect was their daughter, Lizzie, but she was acquitted of the crime. The tale of Lizzie Borden and the gruesome murder of her father and stepmother still remains a mystery to this day.

Pay close attention to the details of this tragic event as you move around the 17 room Victorian Mansion.  The performance will test your mystery solving skills as you gather clues, listen to alibis, and pinpoint the motivation to solve the crime.  Enjoy some apple cider and gingersnaps as you listen to the facts and prepare to render your own verdict at the end of the performance!

Order your tickets today before they are gone!   http://www.ebenezermaxwellmansion.org/events.html
