November 15, 2011

During his career he introduced more than 200 plants and 100 trees to the field of horticulture, including Franklinia altamaha, named after his friend Benjamin Franklin. In addition to identifying native plants, he shipped plants to England which helped with reforestation.

The open house and performance are free and open to the public, but reservations are kindly requested. For more information or to make reservations please email contact@awbury.org, or  call 215-849-2855 ext. 25.
