ACES Museum Honors Our Veterans

November 8, 2011

Join the ACES Museum this Friday, November 11th, for a Veteran’s Day Celebration! The festivities begin with a parade commencing at 11 AM. The parade will begin at the Concord School & Upper Burying Ground, located at 6309 Germantown Avenue. The Upper Burying Ground was set aside in 1693 and is the final resting place of over 50 Revolutionary War soldiers.  The parade, which will include Ms. Black Pennsylvania, the Germantown Young Marines and 15 honored veterans, will move down Germantown Avenue and end at the ACES Museum at 5801 Germantown Avenue. After the parade there will be programs in Vernon Park and at the ACES Museum, including an opportunity for veterans to add their personal stories to the Veteran’s History Project.

These events are free and open to the public. For more information about this Friday’s events, please call 215.842.3742 or email acesmuseum@gmail.com.
